From March 4–6, our ReWSE project partners met in Dublin, Ireland for the partner meeting and an inspiring workshop focused on highlighting and connecting women’s sport events across Europe
The event kicked off Thursday, March 4, with a warm welcome from our amazing hosts: Irish Wheelchair Association SPORT, ASSIST, Alice Milliat Foundation, VIDC, and ENGSO. We discussed updates, the development of the map, toolkit, and online course, and the programme for the workshop.
In the evening, partners were joined by sports organizations representatives and event leaders from Ireland, Italy, Austria, and France to start the workshop with an engaging introduction session.
On Friday, March 5, the workshop continued with inspiring presentations on sustainability, accessibility, and networking, all aimed at connecting and highlighting women’s sport events across Europe.
Participants also shared the challenges they face at local and national levels, fostering collaboration and solutions.
The workshop concluded on a high note, with everyone enjoying a lively wheelchair basketball game– fun, energy, and teamwork in action!
A huge thank you to Irish Wheelchair Association SPORT for the warm welcome and for hosting such a valuable workshop
